We are delighted to announce that Gloria Hunniford has become one of our Patrons of the appeal. Gloria says "I am greatly encouraged by the plans and principles for the Palliative Care East Centre and I am delighted to become a patron of the appeal. The new Centre will provide the right support for patients and families, helping them in a positive life affirming way. In my experience, centres such as these help patients not to fear death, and this is so important.

I look forward to hearing about the progress of the appeal with great interest".

Gloria has campaigned tirelessly for improvments in care for patients living with incurable diseases since her daughter Caron Keating died of breast cancer in 2004 at the age of 41.

We are very pleased at the same time to have a number of local dignitaries, health workers and business people as our patrons who are forwarding the cause of our appeal. Brian and Judy Potters, Hugh Sturzaker, James Hoseason OBE, Richard Jewson, Hugh Crossley, Tony Mallion BBC Radio Norfolk, Bruno Peek OBE NVO, Keith Skipper MBE, Ian Miller, Ian McCreadie, Jean Mason, Michael Muskett, Dr William Notcutt, Tony Wright MP and Bob Blizzard MP.

Our Patrons will make terrific ambassadors for the appeal and help to raise awareness of the work which we are doing.
